Whinney Cottage was built in 2012, with the aim to provide a warm, spacious, flexible cottage for everyone to enjoy including wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility.

Lounge

There is a log burning stove set in an ingle-neuk fireplace, with a sofa and chair to relax on along with a reclining armchair. There is a dining table which folds out for easier access for wheelchair users.

Inside the kitchen and lounge are open plan, leading to a patio door out onto a lovely natural stone patio. The kitchen is fully-fitted including a side-opening oven and all the other useful bits and pieces that will make the cottage feel like a home from home.

Bedrooms

The two carpeted bedrooms are spacious and light. One is a twin room and the other, our accessible bedroom, has a king-sized bed and fitted wardrobes.

Bathroom

Whinney cottage has a very large, fully tiled wet room. It has under-floor heating and a heated towel rail. There are grab rails situated by the sink, toilet and shower. A shower chair can be provided.

Outside

The parking area is tarmac right up to the door which has a low thresh to allow easy access for wheelchairs.
